On Friendship

I got a forwarded e-mail from Tine yesterday full of nice pictures and this is one of my favorites. It makes me feel so thankful that I've had several close friends throughout my life who would never let me fall. Even in circumstances when they can't pull me up, exactly like the caption states. Or perhaps once in a while in some unseen circumstances they'd accompany me and we fall together. Suffering together is somehow fun coz you can complain to each other without feeling bad.

Several things that I have learnt about friendship:

1. It's a two-way relationship (duh...). Thus, no one can be forced into it.

2. It takes time. A lot of time.

3. You know that you're truly a friend to a person when you feel comfortable being together in silence.

4. True friend can be angry to each other but never jealous.

5. Most of them will eventually dim, but never be gone.

HAPPY EASTER !!!

Then the angel said to the women in reply, "Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.' ~Matthew 28:5-8~

After about 2 weeks of disappearance from blogging world, I'm finally giving an update again. Nothing much is happening, though. I guess it's that time of the semester where all I can think about is my studies, and work I guess, now that I'm sort of working. I've really got to think about how to balance my life and divide up those 24 little hours effectively.

Alright, enough about that. If I continue, I might end up complaining, and I really don't want to do that. I've got more reasons to rejoice on than to complain so I wanna avoid being painfully annoying by not complaining.

Anyways, a few days ago I stumbled upon these pictures on the Internet. It was my entertainment for the day and I hope it would be yours too!! The pictures are taken from a book called Famous Pairs:A Deliciously Absurd Collection of Portraits. It is basically a photo collection of pears that represent famous twosomes. Amazing how people can be so creative sometimes.

I laughed out loud on the Holyfield pic. Another favorite would be the one on Anna Nicole Smith (may she rest in peace).
It's interesting to note that all things can be extraordinary given a little bit of creativity and positive thinking. Hahaha.. I'm trying to encourage myself to appreciate the things around me that I always take for granted. And I think these pics are examples of how mundane things can be special and worthy of our attention.

Enjoy your Easter weekend everyone!!!!!
