When Starbucks starts using red paper cups and Fall semester's finals are nearing, it only means one thing: It's Advent!!
Yay! Advent is here.. Welcoming the season of joy and expectation, giving and sharing, and of course the season of shopping! It's my favorite season of the year and I'm gonna be home for Christmas. In fact, I'm gonna be home in a little more than a week. Next week is finals week and then I'm finally home bound. Wow, can't believe that I haven't been back for more than a year. Time really flies by so fast!
I'm gonna spend my days in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and of course the little town of Duri. I'm planning to meet some old friends (haven't really contacted some of the yet) and I'm soooo excited to meet 'em!!!
Ow, I just heard 2 days ago that I'm gonna be the "tray receiver" (I don't know what is it officially called) in my cousin's engagement ceremony in Bandung. Basically, the tray will be filled with gifts from the groom-to-be and I'll be one of the three girls who help to receive the trays. My sister's gonna be one too, and the other girl is someone I don't know (a relative from my uncle's side of the family). These three girls, apparently, have to be virgins and to my surprise they're gonna test our virginity first.......... I was like... Are you serious?? I kept asking my mom if she's serious or if she's just teasing me... But, seriously, is this true? My Chinese blood is a bit diluted, so I don't understand about all these traditions. So, if you've attended or been involved in this kind of ceremony before, please do tell me.
Anyways, tomorrow my rommies gonna graduate. Yes, both of them. So, next semester I'll be the only college student in the apartment. They were trying clothes and graduation caps yesterday night. Enjoy your proudest moments you guys!!! And Congratssss!!!
