Advent Week 4: They Won't Be Expecting THAT...

You know, according to PIXAR, one of the tricks in making a good story is:

"What is your character good at, comfortable with? Throw the polar opposite at them."

Every good story has that unexpected twist. Like in the movie "Frozen". Who would have thought of a snowman who lovesss summer?

Those kind of things baits people in, bewilders watchers, amuses us, and turns the character into one that is very lovable.

The story of Jesus is just like that. It has all the qualities that Pixar and Disney movies strive for. The polarity, the unexpected nature, the strengths of underdogs, the simple, yet beautiful setting.

Tonight is the eve of Christmas. We wish for a peaceful joyful one, where families gather and warm hugs exchanged. A time where nothing else matters because our Savior has come.

We have tried within our might to think of the perfect things that can happened in our lives. And have back ups until Plan F. But the unexpected has always brought us more cheerful times.

Happy Fourth week and Advent and an advance Merry Christmas to all!
